Supervisor’s Message – January 17, 2021
Dear Friends,
You may have noticed an increase in COVID-19 cases in our community during recent weeks, including in the Town of Ovid. Through ongoing communication with the Seneca County Health Department, we have learned that our numbers include positive cases within the Willard Drug Treatment Center population.
Due to the virus’ widespread, rapid transmission, it is important that our community remains vigilent–limit social interaction, wash your hands frequently, wear masks in public and avoid contact with others if you aren’t feeling well.
Fortunately, the vaccine is on its way, and we anticipate that Seneca County will receive approximately 600 doses this week. Links to upcoming clinic information will be posted on the Town of Ovid website and the town board’s Facebook portal as it becomes available.
Take care of yourselves and each other.
Joseph Borst
