4/2/2020 Supervisor’s Message
April 2, 2020
As you are likely aware, Director of Public Health, Vickie Swinehart, announced Seneca County’s first confirmed case of COVID-19 early this week. Unfortunately, as of this evening, the County’s confirmed cases has increased to four, necessitating this important reminder:
While the rural nature of our community can give us an often-warranted sense of security, the beauty of our lakes and our low population density are simply not enough to protect us from the ferocity of this virus. So today, I am once again asking all Town of Ovid residents to remain vigilant in your social distancing and personal hygiene practices.
While COVID-19 is a formidable force, we have the tools necessary to keep ourselves and our families safe. Please, please do your part to slow the spread.
Stay Well. Stay Vigilant. Stay Home.
