COVID-19 Update

In compliance with Governor Cuomo’s updated recommendations regarding social distancing, the Town of Ovid has implemented immediate remote working operations for all non-essential Town employees.

While the health and safety of our staff and community members is at the forefront of this and each of the decisions we will make in the days and weeks ahead, we recognize that access to Town services and resources remains vital to the vitality and viability of the Town.  As a result, we will continue to offer the following:

Town Clerk Cathy Kerns will remain available by email at ckerns@townofovid.net to respond to questions and concerns during regular office hours

Payments may be made via the payment drop box at Town Hall, 2136 Brown Street

Town Highway personnel will operate under an on-call structure, and will mobilize in the event of weather and infrastructure emergencies and to provide mutual aid to neighboring towns and villages as needed

The Town Transfer Station will remain open for business during normal operating hours, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Town Board members and myself remain available by telephone or email to all Town residents (a complete directory of elected officials can be found on the Town’s website)

Updated information will be posted as it becomes available at townofovid.net and on the Town of Ovid’s Board Portal via Facebook

Our community has a proud tradition of working together to overcome obstacles, and I know we will showcase that spirit as we navigate through this challenging time. Please continue to care for and support one another.
